Myrrh & Cardamom Scent
This incense is a combination of Myrrh and Cardamom. Myrrh has long been used by many different cultures for medicinal purposes since it is believed to have astringent and antiseptic qualities. Religiously, the Jews used myrrh to anoint the dead. It was also the main ingredient in the oil used for consecrating priests, the tabernacle, and the altar. Cardamom has a sweeter smell and was used by the Romans in perfumes. It seemed fitting to name this scent for Our Lord, since the scent of myrrh symbolically encompasses his role as King, Priest and Victim in his sacrificial act on Calvary. At the moment of His death, the King of Kings made His victorious conquest over sin, Satan and death. It was in this moment too, that He exercised His eternal priesthood and entered “once and for all into the greater and more perfect tabernacle (Heb. 9:11).” And what was the fruit of that death? The Holy Roman Catholic Church. Our King would overturn the capital of paganism on earth (Rome), and make it the capitol of His visible Church.
These incense sticks are crafted with scents that are free of: mutagens, carcinogens, pthalates, toxins, and parabens. Instead of Dipropylene Glycol the fragrances used have a naturally derived product called Propanediol. Infused with essential oils.
Incense Stick Size: 9.5" total length; 8" length of material that burns. Incense sticks are 100% natural.
Burn Time: 60-80 minutes burn time per stick, provided proper burn instructions are followed (draft-free area, not smoldering too hot/fast).
Incense Sticks can be snuffed out and re-lit for multiple uses if desired. Simply press the smoldering end against a solid surface that won't burn, like ceramic or concrete, or snip off the smoldering end with a pair of scissors or a wick trimmer. Ensure there is no remaining color in the stick before leaving. Do not leave incense sticks burning unattended.
