How long will it take to get my order?
The majority of our items are in stock and ready for shipment. With some of our handmade items, like our
rosaries, the speed with which you will receive your order does depend on how many other handmade orders
we are currently working on. Also, availability of some of our more unusual beads can sometimes be an issue.
The vast majority of these handmade orders ship within three weeks of our receiving them. If you need your
item for a specific date, please let us know with your order. We will always email you a confirmation within
72 hours of your on-line order to let you know approximately when your order will be shipped.

How are your items different?
Our handmade items are skillfully crafted by the Carmelite Sisters. Each of the Sisters has many years of
experience making these beautiful sacramentals. The rosaries
and chaplets are unique in their construction,
especially with our use of traditional
bows.
Our quality chains, bows and other techniques make our
rosaries and chaplets the most sturdy, durable and beautiful that you will find.
We also carefully choose the items not made by us so that everything on our site is
the most beautiful and highest quality of its kind available.
You will want one of
our items when only the best will do. See some testimonials.

On the rosaries, why do you ask if it is for a man or a woman?
We have many center medals and metal crucifixes to choose from. Not only do we choose ones to match
the beads and parts that you have selected, but we also try to choose ones that we think will be more
to the taste of the gender of the person that will be using the rosary.
Some centers in particular
are more obviously feminine (more fancy and ornate), and we will not choose one of these if we know that the rosary
is for a man.

Can you help me understand all of the different metal terminology that you use?
Karat (kt) is the measure of fineness of gold. 24kt is pure gold. 14kt gold is 14/24 pure gold. The balance
is alloy. 14kt is the standard fineness used for most jewelry in the USA. 10kt, then, would be 10/24 pure gold.
Both the 14kt and 10kt used in our rings have a rich gold color and a
hardness and durability suitable for lasting use.
Gold filled items, such as our medals, and the crucifixes, centers,
chain and wire we use in making our rosaries,
have a layer, or layers, of gold, which are mechanically bonded under heat and pressure to a base metal.
They are then rolled or drawn to given thickness. The gold content in gold filled is twice that of gold plate.
Gold filled items are generally considered lifetime products because the gold will not wear off as it will in
gold plated items. (We never use gold plate.) Gold filled items can be worn
or held without skin reactions and may be 10kt, 12kt, or 14kt.
The gold filled wire we use for our rosaries is 12kt; the chain is 14kt.
Sterling silver items are made of 92½% pure silver and 7½% copper or other alloy, proportions fixed by law.
It will patina in time, that is, its color will take on an antique look.
Nickel silver is a compound of nickel, copper and zinc, also called base metal. Though it does
not retain the luster of other materials such as sterling and has no silver content, it is a strong, durable metal.

Why does my rosary keep breaking?
When quality rosaries break, the most common cause is that they are being kept loose in a pocket or purse.
They get scraped, tangled, caught and pulled...treatment that even the most sturdy rosary cannot withstand.
That is why we also offer quality rosary pouches. Storing your rosary
in a rosary pouch will keep it in like-new condition.

Can I design my own rosary?
Yes. Please visit our Build a Rosary page, which allows you to
build your own rosary from our full selection of beautiful and high-quality beads, crucifixes
and metal parts. If you prefer, you may
email us your mailing address and we will be
happy to send you our rosary brochure, which is a paper version of our
Build a Rosary web page.

What if I cannot decide what to get as a gift?
Sometimes it is difficult to decide when purchasing a gift for another. Since we understand that, we offer
gift certificates, which make wonderful gifts and allow
recipients to choose just what they want.

Are your religious items already blessed?
Upon request, we will be happy to have any items you purchase blessed by a priest. The Brown Scapular need not be
blessed if one has been enrolled in the Confraternity of the Brown Scapular. As part of the ceremony, the person
is blessed along with the scapular; therefore, all subsequent scapulars do not need to be blessed.
