  1. Very nice quality prayerbook

Posted by MHorton on 1st Aug 2015

I ordered Fr Lasance's "Prayer-Book" from the Sisters first, and it has spoiled me for any other. It is not as pretty and the print process is a bit rough. However, it is so jam packed with beautiful prayers, including an introduction that is so moving and filled with the Holy Spirit, I am afraid no other will ever meet my spiritual expectations like it does. It has many traditional prayers not seen since Vatican II, plus the Mass, Rosary, Devotions to Mary, the Stations of the Cross,The 40 Hours Devotion, Litanies...there is so much packed into the 700+pages, God must have helped! Plus it is a sturdy little hardcover book that will withstand rougher handling. It can be picked up and put down without fear of "messing it up" all day long. The little work horse of a prayer book is also a perfect size for the jacket pocket or slipping into a backpack, which I wouldn't do with "Blessed Be God".

I don't want to discourage anyone from buying "Blessed Be God" because it *is* very nice and filled with wonderful prayers. It looks just like an old traditional, nice Missal. It is very well made and very pleasing to the eye. I do recommend it...just not as my first recommendation.
